How we think about privacy
When can I download Cheer Me On?

Cheer Me On is coming soon to iPhone. We’ll add the App Store link here when it’s ready. In the meantime, explore the example challenge to get a feel for how it works.

Do my supporters need the app?

No. Friends and family can open the challenge link in their browser, follow your progress and send you a cheer. The iPhone app is for the person taking on the challenge.

Who can see my challenge and messages?

Challenges are unlisted, so they are shared by link rather than in a public directory. Anyone with your link can view the challenge while it’s available. Support messages are private to you and aren’t displayed on the public page.

What happens when I finish?

Finishing stops location recording and live sharing on your device. Your public page is designed to show a completed snapshot for two hours, then expire. You keep your result privately in the app. If you finish offline, the public page updates once your device reconnects.

Can I support a charity?

Yes. You’ll be able to add a link to your chosen external fundraising page. Donations take place with that provider; Cheer Me On doesn’t collect payments or display fundraising totals.

Will it work without a signal?

The app is designed to record your challenge without an internet connection. Live updates, publishing your link and receiving cheers need connectivity. Your supporters will be able to see when your progress was last updated.
